  • School is closed Monday 12th December 2022

    Published 12/12/22

Unfortunately, we have just discovered that the schools water supply has been interrupted and we currently have no water. We are therefore seeking information about when this will be rectified.

Due to the risk this presents with hygiene around washing and using toilets, and lack of water in the kitchen for food preparation, we have no choice but to close the school.

Please could parents/carers NOT send children in to school today.

We will keep you updated, and as soon as we have any further information we will advise you.

We can only apologise for this inconvenience which is out of our hands.

    Heat Warning up date

We have already signposted you to our Sun Safety Policy found on our website, however some parents have expressed a wish to keep their child(ren) at home as they are concerned about the heat warning, even though the school is open as normal.  Should you decide to do this, we understand and will support this from an attendance perspective.  However please do report their absence on Study Bugs as usual. The link to Study Bugs is on the front page of the website.

For those who are sending children in as normal, just a reminder that as the beginning of the week looks set to be very hot, the children may wear ‚Äčtheir own clothes or school summer uniform or PE kit to school on Monday and Tuesday. The best clothing to wear is loose, light-coloured clothing, shoulders should be covered. Please also make sure your child wears a named hat to school (the best is one with a wide brim), that you send in a bottle of water with your child and sun cream is put on your children before they come to school. If they need to re-apply in the school day, please send it in with it named and ensure they are able to reapply it on their own.

As always if the situation changes or we have to take any further action, we will contact you.

  • Viking Day

    Published 17/05/22

Year 5 took part in an exciting Viking day on Friday 22nd April. We made and ate Viking bread, decorated and inscribed clay coins with Viking runes, created cardboard swords and shields and some children built paper long boats.

The children also enjoyed an immersive Viking story using the press play headsets, played Capture the flag games on the field to simulate an invasion and took part in a Fire pit experience with toasted marshmallows, yum!
