Welcome to Penguins & Puffins

Welcome back! We hope that you all had a restful and relaxing summer holiday!

Year 5 is going to be the busiest year yet at Westfield!  We have lots of work to do to prepare our children for in the coming year. It is vital that all children are supported to complete their reading, times tables and spellings daily at home. Each week, we will provide optional Maths and English homework via Seesaw.  

Our topic this term is ‘The Victorious Victorians!’ We will be learning about how the Victorians lived, their inventions, Victorian artists and a focus will be given to scientists from that era too! In Science, we will be looking at animals including humans and their habitats.  We will also be taking part in Dance and Invasion games during PE.

We are looking forward to working closely with parents this year.  We will have some Yr5 assemblies throughout the year alongside book looks so you can see the great learning your children are doing. Please try to keep up to date with Marvellous Me messages.
