Heat Warning up date

We have already signposted you to our Sun Safety Policy found on our website, however some parents have expressed a wish to keep their child(ren) at home as they are concerned about the heat warning, even though the school is open as normal.  Should you decide to do this, we understand and will support this from an attendance perspective.  However please do report their absence on Study Bugs as usual. The link to Study Bugs is on the front page of the website.

For those who are sending children in as normal, just a reminder that as the beginning of the week looks set to be very hot, the children may wear their own clothes or school summer uniform or PE kit to school on Monday and Tuesday. The best clothing to wear is loose, light-coloured clothing, shoulders should be covered. Please also make sure your child wears a named hat to school (the best is one with a wide brim), that you send in a bottle of water with your child and sun cream is put on your children before they come to school. If they need to re-apply in the school day, please send it in with it named and ensure they are able to reapply it on their own.

As always if the situation changes or we have to take any further action, we will contact you.
